PGA Junior League

 

  • PGA Junior League Golf (PGA JLG) is designed to bring a “Little League” atmosphere to the game of golf. With teams of boys and girls, age 17 and under PGA JLG provides a structured league environment for young golfers to compete and have fun! This is a great way to get, and keep, kids involved in the game!

  • • 6 regular season competitions plus 5 coaching/practice

    • Opportunity for advancement to post-season and All-Star teams

    • Access to customized website home page for our PGA JLG team featuring schedules, standings and stats.

  • * First 12 players registered will be on the team roster

    * Parents are responsible for providing transportation for your child to and from matches

    * Parents are encouraged to participate as acting Captains. Team Captains will decide who will be Acting Captain

    • Fun team scramble format for players of every skill level

    • All participants get to play in every competition

    • Advanced skills not required, must have access to a set of golf clubs

    • If your child can drive, chip or putt... we have a role for them on our JLG team!

  • March 31st is the Registration Deadline

    April - July: Regular Season

    August: Postseason Qualifiers & Section Championships

    September: Regional Championship

    October: PGA JLG National Championship

  • All registration must be done first with Somers National GC , please contact Skip Marini direct to register your child. The registration fee is $350.00 and includes practices and matches.

    Then must register your child on the PGA Junior League website (link below) and pay fee of $99 to PGA of America which includes Uniform Jerseys, Instruction, Greens Fees, and Bag Tags.
